MTG Card Preview – Outlaws of Thunder Junction!

By Karl SmartMarch 30, 2024
Outlaws of Thunder Junction

Magic: The Gathering is heading into the Old West with its latest expansion: The Outlaws of Thunder Junction.

Thanks to the people over at Wizards of the Coast, we have an exclusive card preview for you!

Outlaws of Thunder Junction

Brought to us through some very trippy artwork from artist Eli Minaya, the card Return the Favor is a card that Red (Fire) players will want to add to any deck they are building.

Magic: The Gathering

For a small cost of 2 Red/Fire energy, you get access to two instant cast spells (Meaning you can cast these at any time, not just during your main phase):

  • Copy target instant spell, sorcery spell, activated ability, or triggered ability. You may choose new targets for the copy.
  • Change the target of the target spell or ability with a single target

Welcome to a Commander must-have card here! Not only is it great to swerve your opponents by changing target for the one cost, but also have the choice to copy just about anything that is not a creature, artifact, or equipment and retarget that copy for maximum damage across the board.

As a red player, I’m excited to have the chance to get this card in hand because I love causing chaos and mayhem in Commander games, so this is the perfect card for me.

Magic: The Gathering: The Outlaws of Thunder Junction releases on April 19, 2024, through all WPN-authorized stores. To locate your local WPN store, use the store locator: https://locator.wizards.com/
