The Last of Us Part II Revealed at PSX 2016

By Delaila LugoDecember 3, 2016

The Last of Us Part II was revealed at PSX 2016, showcasing a new trailer with the return of an older Ellie playing a guitar and Joel.

https://youtu.be/ljXieLOMnzM

The trailer begins with a snap of the woods before revealing the Firefly logo on a stop sign. From there, we see a character playing a guitar that is soon revealed to be Ellie. As Ellie sings while playing her guitar, surrounded by dead bodies in a house, Joel walks in and asks her if she intends to go ahead with her plan. With blood on her face and body, she finishes her song and says “I’m going to find them and kill every last one of them”.

There has been many rumors for a while and today we got a confirmation. What an amazing way for Sony to close the PSX 2016 show.

The Last of Us was released on PlayStation 3 in 2013 and ended with a cliffhanger, making it unclear of what actually happens to Ellie and Joel.

Who does Ellie want to kill? My guess is the Fireflies based on the events of The Last of Us.

At 2 years old, she was the little sister that was given the unplugged NES controller, and when finally discovering her big brothers trick, she couldn't be stopped. Her parent's would buy almost every single console (NES, Sega Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast, N64, etc.), with the expectation that they had to be shared. Finally purchasing her own PlayStation 2 is when she finally accepted gaming as one of her treasured hobbies. Favorite Games: The Last of Us and Bloodborne
