Wizard101 Is Making Its Way To Nintendo Switch

Rejoice, Nintendo fans — today, renowned MMO publisher KingsIsle Entertainment announced that its most magical turn-based deckbuilding title, Wizard101, will finally land on Nintendo Switch! Soon, the world of The Spiral will be officially available on all platforms, both PC and console.

Previously only available on PC, last year’s release of the family-friendly MMO on consoles invited a whole new generation of young wizards, alongside returning Ravenwood Academy alumni, to immerse themselves in the Spiral’s multitude of mystical worlds. With its launch on Nintendo Switch, soon more people than ever can experience a realm full of charming characters, fantastical environments, and magical gameplay.

Wizard101 will be available to purchase on the Nintendo Switch for $19.99 and will include full access to the first of the current five story arcs of the Wizard101 storyline. As players progress further, content can be unlocked through the purchase of Crowns, the Wizard101 in-game premium currency.

Wizard101 is also available to download for free on Xbox and PlayStation consoles, and players can enjoy free content up to the recently expanded Free-to-Play area in the Oasis zone of Krokotopia. Accounts created on a Nintendo device will play on the same server as the other console players, however cross-progression is currently unavailable. Wizard101 will be available for Nintendo Switch on January 13th, 2026.
