WEBTOON announced that it has entered a marketing partnership with Sony’s PlayStation brand. PlayStation Premium Plus subscribers now have access to a WEBTOON subscription. In addition, if you are already subscribed to WEBTOON, you will receive two weeks of PlayStation Plus for free.
This partnership is the next step in WEBTOON’s goal of creating two-way engagement funnels by introducing gamers to webcomic series that are strongly themed around gaming and worldbuilding. A previous effort was made in January when WEBTOON partnered with CAPCOM to host a webtoon contest based around CAPCOM’s Monster Hunter Wilds IP.
