Capcom released a patch in order to fix several bugs for its Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 title on PC. Unintentionally, it has caused a bit of a situation for one character. Phoenix now needs more than 5 meter bars to activate Dark Phoenix after she is downed. Good luck because the game caps Super Meters to 5. Xeno was able to get this in action.
‼️UMVC3 ON STEAM IS BROKEN RIGHT NOW!!!
ON THE LATEST UPDATE TO UMVC3, YOU CANNOT ENTER DARK PHOENIX MODE EVEN IF YOU HAVE 5 THE 5 REQUIRED BARS!!!
ILL KEEP YALL UPDATED WITH ANY MORE BUGS THAT POP UP AFTER THIS PATCH CAUSE WTF HAPPENED???? pic.twitter.com/j4i2Kje4zL

Dashfight has mentioned another critical bug that should be addressed.
If you specifically had one character down, then during super freeze you could do an input to “escape” by tagging out your character, but since the character getting tagged in is “dead,” your character just comes back.
This is related to the Kobuta Escape, a community staple of a tactic tech.
As niche as this is, Kubota escape is also gone. I cry :( pic.twitter.com/OL6tePSdDL

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 a nearly 15-year-old game in which Capcom is due to service it. Hopefully, this will be resolved sooner than later. Capcom has yet to comment on this.
