The Legend Of Heroes: Trails Beyond The Horizon Gets Announced

By Scott AdamsMarch 28, 2025
The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond The Horizon New Key Art. It has Van Arkride, Agnes, Rean, and Kevin in the art.

NIS America has revealed a trailer for the next Trails game in the series, The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond The Horizon. This is a game that directly follows Trails Through Daybreak 2 and tells more of the story of what the Republic of Calvard is up to.

Trails Beyond The Horizon has Rean Schwarzer returning from the Cold Steel games, and Kevin from the Sky trilogy. I am surprised to see Kevin because it always feels like Kevin gets forgotten about constantly even in his own sect in the games. Hopefully this means we get to have more character advancements for Kevin and maybe Ries if she gets even mentioned in the game.

The next big reveal is that the plot President Gramheart is about creating a rocket ship to Outer Space. Thats right, with this game in the series they are introducing space travel. Something hinted at in the epilogue of Trails Through Daybreak 2 if you managed to finish the Märchen Garten.

The release time frame for Trails Beyond The Horizon has also been announced as Fall 2025. That is this year! NIS America is releasing two Trails games this year alone, making the gap only one more game between Japan and the West. This is huge! You can preorder the game on the NIS America website.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond The Horizon will be released Fall 2025 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
