Tekken 8 Miary Zo Dev Talk Coming Tomorrow

By Kevin KellyNovember 27, 2025
Miary Zo Tekken 8 DevTalk

The Tekken 8 Project Team will be doing a deep dive into its’ newest roster add to the King of The Iron Fist Tournament – Miary Zo. The somewhat-fighting-god-possessed, friend-making, African fighter will have her kit dissected before her December 2 DLC arrival. Miary Zo was shown after wrestler Armor King’s trailer at Evo 2025. This will focus on her concept and stated to be a potential multi-part discussion. Katsuhiro Harada and Nakatsu will be headlining the discussion.

Ready to learn more about Miary Zo ?💚❤

Join #TEKKEN8 Producer Harada and Director Ikeda for the Miary Zo special Dev Talk tomorrow, Nov. 28, at 16:00 CET | 7:00 PST | 00:00 JST (29/11)! pic.twitter.com/QiVSp1XCqF

Katsuhiro Harada had already addressed some of the reactions to Miary Zo’s conception after some discussions circulated around her being too “anime-ish” or “whitewashed” on Twitter. Not really the best time to ask Harada San for anything, that was. Tekken has dealt with character complaints in the past as best as they could.

Personally, I’d wonder why alot of African based fighting game additions always “want to make new friends” as a motivation to participate in this deadly sport, but that’s just me (Street Fighter’s Elena, I’m looking at you). Also, is Baek Dosan really dead? and why not Bruce Irving over Josie?

Miary Zo joins Tekken 8

The Dev Talk will happen on Nov. 28, at 16:00 CET | 7:00 PST | 00:00 JST (29/11) on both Bandai Namco America and Europe sites. Miary Zo will be coming to Tekken 8 on December 1, 2025 for early access, and December 4th for her official launch.
