Suda51 Reaffirms Desire To Put Games On Nintendo Switch 2

Still working things out, but he's hopeful!

Suda51, Nintendo Switch 2

As I’ve noted on many an episode of the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast, one thing I fully expect to happen now that the Nintendo Switch 2 has proven how well it’s doing with its sales is 3rd parties lining up to either make exclusives for the system, or, ensure they bring their multiplatform titles to it at launch, or close to, so that they can get maximum sales. One such person who had already made his desire to be on the console known is Suda51, who is revered for the “unique” titles he’s made over the years.

In a chat with VGC, Suda51 made it clear that he does want to be on Nintendo’s platform again, and could bring his new game to it…should things work out:

“To me personally, and to us at Grasshopper, Nintendo platforms are really important to us. They acted as a jumping board for us to really get into the industry and get into people’s eyeballs, so we definitely have no plans to ignore the Switch 2.

We can’t announce or divulge anything just yet as far as Romeo is a Dead Man goes, but we are considering putting out Romeo on the Switch 2 at some point if possible. There’s just a lot of things that we’ve got to clear first.”

He noted that one of the key things was to ensure that the game would work on Nintendo Switch 2, as the title uses Unreal Engine 5. If they can work it out, they’d love to bring it over…and possibly bring in more titles after that.

As if that’s not enough, during the interview, the developer revealed that his game will drop on February 11th, and gave out a new trailer to boot!
