Sagat Joins The Street Fighter 6 Roster on August 5

By Kevin KellyJune 28, 2025

During the Capcom Showcase this week, it was revealed that Sagat will be coming to the game in August. The original first-ever boss in the Street Fighter series will be coming with his own stage as well as his Fight Pass starting July 4th. Elena took this month by storm as it is.

Sagat seems to be a bit more brooder than ever before, but the stoic Muay Thai warrior might be going through some things. Sagat’s new tiger cloak might be a hint at what had transpired with him since Street Fighter V or even IV. As characters have been getting older, their new costumes seem to be a sign of the times. Sagat is clearly no different. No gameplay has been shown in real matches as of yet.

Sagat Arrives will be dolling out new items to have to commemorate Sagat’s return to the World Warriors front. Some of these include

  • EX colors for all characters
  • Sagat-inspired game titles
  • Street Fighter IV background music
  • Sagat inspired Avatar Gear
  • Stickers from the Street Fighter first game.
  • Challenger Screen illustrations
  • Challenger Screen Effects
  • Emotes
  • and the Tiger Road classic game for the arcade.

Street Fighter VI’s Year 3 will start on August 5th, along with Sagat, Ingrid, C. Viper, and Alx. Street Fighter VI is available on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam.
