Capcom Spotlight June 2025: Resident Evil 9, Pragmata, and More

With Summer Game Fest, IGN Live, and the rest of the Summer 2025 gaming blitz now in the rearview, Capcom is stepping up with its own showcase. The publisher has announced a 40-minute Capcom Spotlight set to stream on June 26, 2025, at 3 PM PDT / 6 PM EDT, and it’s packing updates for both current and upcoming titles.

Capcom confirmed that Monster Hunter Wilds, Street Fighter 6, Pragmata, and Resident Evil 9: Requiem will all be featured, along with developer interviews and new reveals. A fresh content update for Monster Hunter Wilds is also on the way, and this livestream will give us our first real look at what’s included.

Let’s talk speculation.

We’ve already previewed Resident Evil 9: Requiem, and it’s no secret this is shaping up to be Capcom’s biggest game of 2026. For fans of the series, this is the game to keep an eye on. While our hands-on time gave us plenty to talk about, there’s still more Capcom could reveal—possibly even a public demo date for the same build shown at Summer Game Fest 2025.

Pragmata was also at SGF 2025, and while the demo ended before the first boss fight, we’re hopeful this spotlight will finally show that moment in action. A release date wouldn’t hurt either, and now feels like the perfect time.

As for Monster Hunter Wilds, let’s be real—while I liked it at first, the game’s reception has cooled. Performance issues and a lukewarm reaction to recent updates have left some longtime players frustrated. With this new spotlight, Capcom has a chance to course-correct and deliver something that gets fans back on board.

And then there’s Street Fighter 6. While not new, it remains a cornerstone of Capcom’s lineup. Expect details on the next wave of DLC fighters:

  • Sagat (Summer 2025)
  • C. Viper (Fall 2025)
  • Alex (Early Spring 2026)
  • Ingrid (Late Spring 2026)

There’s also a good chance we’ll hear more about Capcom Cup 2026, which is slated to begin in March next year.

Personally, if all Capcom did was showcase Resident Evil 9, I’d be fine with that. Just make the entire showcase all about that game. Or, maybe, perhaps talk more and show off what we saw of Onimusha: Way Of The Sword during Summer Game Fest 2025. Now, that would be fun.

Don’t miss the Capcom Spotlight on June 26, 2025. Whether you’re into horror, hunting monsters, or fighting game throwdowns, there’s bound to be something worth tuning in for.
