The globally popular character-based 3D animation series “Spookiz” has released a spotlight video introducing its newest character, “Momo”, a tengu-inspired monster, who is now joining the cast.

“Spookiz” is a 3DCG animation with a global fanbase, boasting over 6.3 million subscribers (As of May 29) and over 3.3 billion total views (As of May 29) on the official YouTube channel. This non-verbal animation, which primarily consists of 1~3 minute episodes, has garnered immense popularity not only in the United States, but also across Asia, Latin America, and Europe.
The series began streaming its first new season in roughly five years starting last October, titled “Spookiz -Monsters Awakening-.” Set in Japan, the new season has drawn major attention for introducing new original characters inspired by Japanese yokai folklore.
New additions include “Kapper,” a kappa-inspired monster, and “Momo,” a tengu-inspired monster, both bringing fresh energy and charm to the story.
This latest spotlight video focuses on Momo, portraying the character’s hidden life deep in the mountains and her dream of escaping to the city to experience freedom and fun. Paired with Cyndi Lauper’s iconic “Girls Just Want To Have Fun,” the video highlights Momo’s personality and emotions in a vibrant and memorable way.
