Must play video games of November 2023

Must play games of November 2023 header - 1920x1080

While October 2023 was a fantastic month for gamers, with the release of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Lords of Fallen 2, and Mortal Kombat 1,  November 2023 promises to be as good, if not better. Just because we’re getting closer to the end of the year doesn’t mean we’ll see the end of some excellent games to play. This is even better as we’re closer to the holidays, which means some vacation time to relax and play some games.

Here are several games I feel should be on everyone’s radar this month, so be sure to check them out.

Robocop Rogue City

Must play games of November 2023 - Robocop Rogue City

Robocop has returned in a brand-3new outing that puts you in the shoes of the metal-cad police officer with a heart of gold. This game oozes 90s charm, and there are lots of Easter Eggs to be found. If you were someone who enjoyed the first two movies, you’re going to love Robocop Rogue City. I’ll buy this for a dollar… well, lots of dollars.

Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC
Release Date: November 2, 2023

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name

Must play games of November 2023 - Like a Dragon Gaiden - The Man Who Erased His Name

Everyone’s favorite Yazuka bad boy, Kazuma Kiryu, is back. After faking this death after the events of Yakuza 6, a mysterious figure tries to expose his new life, and he won’t take this lightly. Expect all the great action that the Yakuza, or Like a Dragon series, is known for. Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is a spin-off of the Yakuza / Like a Dragon series developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio.

Platforms: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC
Release Date: November 9, 2023

Remnant 2 – The Awakened King DLC

Must play games of November 2023 - Remnant-2-The-Awakened-King-DLC

While this isn’t a complete game, it is a must-play for fans of Remnant 2. The One True King is finally awake after being in a long slumber in the base game of Remnant 2, and he’s pissed. He’s out for blood, and everyone who had a hand in putting him to sleep will be punished, and no one is safe. This DLC adds to the already great gameplay of Remnant 2, while adding new items and gear to collect, a new location in the world of LOsomn, and a new Archetype called the Ritualist that uses status effects and AOE damage to inflict damage on its enemies.

Platforms: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC
Release Date: November 9, 2023

The Last Faith

Must play games of November 2023 - The Last Faith

What do you get when you combine the merciless combat of a Soulslike with the exploration of a Metroidvania? Well, that depends, but generally, if you’re a fan of both genres, it’s a good time, which is precisely what the developers of The Last Faith are promising. The game features great-looking pixel art, lots of exploration, and merciless and precise combat that doesn’t stop until you put down the controller or die. I’ve played this demo and can’t wait to get my hands on the full game.

Platforms: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, PC
Release Date: November 15, 2023

Persona 5 Tactica

While this may not be Persona 6, I’m sure Persona 5 fans won’t mind. Persona 5 is a twist from the radical RPG action that the series is known for, and instead, it gets a tactical RPG twist. All the charming and loveable characters from P5 will return, along with some new ones in a brand-new story. It sounds like fun, and despite all the time I spent with Persona 5, I’m ready to try this game. I’m also hoping there’s new music as well.

Platforms: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, PC
Release Date: November 17, 2023

Super Mario RPG

Remember that feeling you had when you first played Super Mario RPG on the Super Nintendo for the first time? Well, now you’ll relive that all over again on the Switch, with better visuals and updated gameplay mechanics. Or, if you’re like me, who never played the original game, you’ll finally get to enjoy this amazing RPG for the first time. I swear, guys, I will play this as soon as I finish with Super Mario Bros. Wonder.

Platforms: Switch
Release Date: November 17, 2023
