Heavy Metal Band ASTERISM Makes Their Debut on THE FIRST TAKE

By Josh PiedraApril 30, 2025

Episode 543 features heavy metal band ASTERISM, who previously appeared on “FLASH THE FIRST TAKE,” making their debut on “THE FIRST TAKE” alongside world-renowned guitarist Marty Friedman (former member of Megadeth). The globally active band will perform their collaborative track “GYUTTO!!,” which combines catchy lyrics with a rock sound. This track, packed with their signature metal elements, is delivered with straightforward vocals and technical band performance in an impressive one-take performance.

Check out the performance below:

Comments from ASTERISM and Marty Friedman were given:

I’m thrilled to collaborate with Marty Friedman, a world-renowned guitarist! We recorded together and performed live three times. This song is a real labor of love for us. We played it with the hope of leaving something special behind for this unique “THE FIRST TAKE” project. – ASTERISM

I became an instant fan of ASTERISM’s music. We ended up performing together on the YouTube show “ROCK FUJIYAMA.” Despite being from different countries and generations, we felt a shared connection through music. I think we share the same passion for the joy of playing instruments and the exhilarating energy of performing. I’ve always wanted to collaborate with them, so this opportunity is truly special. Thank you. – Marty Friedman
