Frostpunk 2: How Long To Beat

If you’re wondering how long it takes to beat Frostpunk 2 and what the chapter structure looks like, you’re in the right place. Here are all the details of playtime and how the game unfolds.

How Long Does It Take To Complete Frostpunk 2?

Frostpunk 2: How Long To Beat

In Frostpunk 2, the main story mode typically takes between 8 to 10 hours for a first-time playthrough. The game includes a prologue and five chapters, each varying in length. Some chapters take less than 30 minutes, while others can stretch to several hours. This variety keeps the pacing engaging throughout the campaign.

For those interested in replaying the game, Frostpunk 2 offers substantial replayability. The branching narrative allows different outcomes, influencing chapter objectives and giving players multiple reasons to revisit the story.

The game is divided into several parts:

  • Prologue: Introduces players to the world of Frostpunk 2.
  • Chapter 1 to 5: Each chapter comes with different challenges and objectives. Their durations vary, giving the game a dynamic flow.

Beyond the story mode, there’s also the Utopia Builder mode, an open-ended sandbox experience. This mode presents seven starting locations and three unique goals, offering more than just a linear campaign. Each playthrough in this mode can take a few hours, with randomized resources and layouts to ensure a fresh experience every time.

For the completionists, Frostpunk 2 provides extra layers of challenge. Achievements often require players to play under specific conditions, adding even more hours of gameplay. Whether you want to master every aspect or test yourself with difficult restrictions, there’s plenty to explore.

Frostpunk 2 is currently available on macOS and Windows PC, with a planned release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S in 2025.
