SNK asks the question of “is half-power too much power” in Fatal Fury: City of The Wolves. To no surprise, the trailer is a reference to lore that could be summed up in a classic anime of theirs.
Laucorn, the main villain for Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture, might have been teased today. Panni, one of his henchmen, is seen putting on a part of the Mars armor onto him as well two other silhouettes. They could be his other subordinates from the movie – Jamin and Hauer. From the sounds of it, Laocorn has only 3 pieces of the armor. Which means that all he needs to do is find the owner of the others.

The three gave Terry, Andy, Joe, and Mai, a globe-trotting adventure in order to stop Laucorn from assembling all pieces of Mars Armor to unleash an ancient evil. Of course, the movie is not canon to Fatal Fury, but the armor even required a piece from Krauser – who was meant to be dead after the events of the previous OVA in the trilogy. Masami Obari worked on this series, too.
Laocorn would probably have translocation and possible armor if he’s in the game. Also, some of Krauser’s attacks would be his, too. Laocorn had also brainwashed other fighters inorder to do his bidding including Chen Sizuan. Laocorn could even be a boss at this point if he’s at half strength. Anything up to his peak would unleash some sort of godlike power, but half is enough to compete.
SNK has no barriers within the franchise for City of The Wolves, so anyone is on the table for a appearance. Rick Strowd was already teased, so Laucorn could be a Season 3 shoe-in. Feels as though I threw this in as one of my wants from the Fatal Fury City of the Wolves DLCs.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is currently available for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
