SNK announced that King of Fighters XV will be receiving a character balance update in July. They’ve already done a lot this round with Rob..err Mr Karate coming to South Town, but SNK had to take on one more thing.
This update will affect all 61 characters, with each character getting certain adjustments in time for SNK’s current Pro circuit. The team released a trailer during Evo Japan 2026 to announce this. It’s already been a year since the last update, which was meant to fix issues with the game. Vice and Mature were the last two characters to be released, also, back in December 2024.
KOF XV was released in 2022, which marks about 4 years since the game has come, so it’s not too crazy to see SNK still update this entry. The January 2025 update fixed some glaring issues for the game after the December update.
King of Fighters XV is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam (PC).
