During the Dragon’s Dogma 2 showcase on November 28, 2023, Capcom confirmed the Dragon’s Dogma 2 release date of March 22, 2024, for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Along with the reveal of the release date, Capcom also revealed some new details surrounding Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Dragon’s Dogma will take place in a parallel world that will mirror the world’s setting from the first game. While the sequel may mirror the first game, it will have its assortment of monsters, such as the Talos that was shown, new quests, and more. It will be interesting to see what has changed and will remain the same regarding locations.

We also got wind of two new Kingdoms: the human Kingdom of Vermund, where players will be stuck in a power struggle for the throne, and the Beastren nation of Battahl, where  Pawns brands are branded as the sources of misfortune. There will be more, but that’s all Capcom was willing to show during the showcase.

A quick look at the character creator was shown briefly, and it was stated that Capcom used photogrammetry technology to increase photorealism. Due to this, the characters that will be created will look fantastic, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. I hope there will be more hairstyles for players to choose from.
