Today, KOEI TECMO America and developer Gust announced BLUE REFLECTION Quartet, combining all four titles in the fan-favorite franchise into one magical package. The new collection includes the console games BLUE REFLECTION and BLUE REFLECTION: Second Light; the anime series BLUE REFLECTION RAY; and the mobile game BLUE REFLECTION SUN. BLUE REFLECTION Quartet will be available digitally July 30th, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC via Steam.
BLUE REFLECTION Quartet features the following experiences:
- BLUE REFLECTION: Originally released in 2017, the game combines magical form elements with contemporary academies as an injured student faces an imminent threat to her world. Features character design and supervision by illustrator Mel Kishida and storyline by authors Keiichi Sigsawa, Yusaku Igarashi, and Koji Natsumi.
- BLUE REFLECTION RAY: Released as an animated series in 2021, the anime’s story has been re-edited and 3D models of the main characters have been created. Tour a world shaped by the collective unconscious known as the Common with Hiori and Ruka and further understand the students’ emotions.
- BLUE REFLECTION SUN: A mixed-media project based on BLUE REFLECTION, this smartphone/PC game was available from February 2023 to May 2024. The game’s story has been adapted to consoles as players can now interact with the students walking around the school. Furthermore, the game’s memorable fights have been brought to life using the battle system from BLUE REFLECTION: Second Light.
- BLUE REFLECTION: Second Light: Originally released in 2021, the students must face their own feelings while trying to recover their memories and the truth of their world as Ao finds herself lost in an academy surrounded by water. Added to Quartet, eight additional characters from RAY and SUN will be featured as party members.
The collection also includes a reference database, which will allow players to deepen their understanding of the BLUE REFLECTION universe, enabling fans to check flowcharts with certain events organized in chronological order, characters’ relationship charts, and even series correlation charts. Various convenience features and overall easier gameplay have also been added, enabling newcomers to immerse themselves in this world while at the same time giving longtime fans the ability to get a deeper understanding of the series.
I am so hyped for this collection! We get the anime as a in game experience! Which may or may not be just a clip show, but I am down to get it in any form to digest! We also get the mobile game completely offline and in a digestible fashion! Blue Reflection on Steam currently does not allow cloud saves, which is why I don’t play it nearly as much as I played Blue Reflection: Second Light. This could change all that and allow me to finally finish it! The original Steam release is also a bit buggy at times, so when I lose hours of playtime on something that isn’t even my fault, I tend to rage quit!
The reference guide is so helpful, too, especially with how much there is to know about this series! I wish there was this in the other versions of the games! You can also read our review of Blue Reflection: Second Light.
Blue Reflection Quartet will be available Digitally July 30th, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC via Steam.
