During its latest Version Preview livestream, global publisher GRYPHLINE shared that ‘Dreamscape of Wind and Snow,’ the next content update for Arknights: Endfield, will launch on Sept. 2, 2026. Headlined by Typhoeus, a familiar Operator from the original Arknights, the update sends the Endministrator into the supernatural Snowy Forest. Later in the version, players can explore Suiming through a repeating time loop and recruit Operator Purrchena for free.
GRYPHLINE also confirmed recently that Arknights: Endfield is coming to Steam soon. Players can wishlist the game on the platform now.
Typhoeus Arrives from Rhodes Island
An easygoing icefield huntress with an almost obsessive curiosity about Sami legends, Typhoeus has traveled far in search of stories that might otherwise be lost to time. Her latest journey brings her to the Snowy Forest outside Yinglung Pass, where she crosses paths with the Endministrator and Chief Engineer Andre. Trapped by enchanted fog that sends travelers in circles, the group must find a way out while uncovering the forest’s secrets. As they push deeper into the forest, snow visibly accumulates on their bodies and hair before they encounter the new regional boss, Gloomwald’s Rage.
Wielding a bow as tall as she is, Typhoeus is a Nature Striker who can leap into the air, fire at multiple targets and evade ground-based attacks. She can also deploy a Barrage Array to slow enemies, combining aerial mobility, traps and concentrated Nature Burst damage.
A Nordic Folk-Electronic Soundscape
The Snowy Forest’s worldbuilding also extends to its music. Drawing on Sámi musical culture, the score for ‘Dreamscape of Wind and Snow’ reimagines Nordic traditions through elements of JRPG music, otherworldly fantasy and electronic production.
The previous ‘Homecoming’ update established this collaborative approach by inviting electronic artist Crywolf, known for his post-apocalyptic lullaby style, to compose music for a boss battle. For ‘Dreamscape of Wind and Snow,’ the team partnered with Finnish electronic musician Vilma Jää, known for her work on CONTROL Resonant, to create a Nordic folk-electronic theme that blends her musical style with the world of Arknights: Endfield.
Break the Time Loop to Uncover Suiming
Opening Sept. 24, Suiming is a new puzzle-exploration map built around the development team’s idea to turn an entire city into a puzzle. As the city’s tides rise and fall within a repeating 15-minute time loop, previously inaccessible streets and routes emerge, allowing players to recover the parts needed to repair the Waking Bell before the Blight Tide arrives. Each time the tide rises, time rewinds, but collected parts are retained, allowing environmental clues and fragments of the city’s past to build across each loop.
Recruit Purrchena for Free
Also beginning Sept. 24, the Purrchena Tribute Event allows players to obtain Purrchena, a Physical Defender, as well as her recommended weapon, Dessert Moment. As the Brand Ambassador for the Ætherside Syndrome Relief Foundation, Purrchena sees her friends and fellow patients as family and is determined to protect them. In combat, she raises her shield to protect nearby teammates and delivers gift boxes that heal allies or trigger different support effects. Completing all six event missions provides enough copies to maximize the Potential of both Purrchena and Dessert Moment.
Additional Content
Supporting content, including Trial of the Bow, Chubby Lung Attacks, Runners’ Steeplechase, new Echoes of War seasons and additional player-experience improvements, will also make their way to Arknights: Endfield throughout the update.
Arknights: Endfield is available free-to-play right now on PlayStation 5, PC, and Mobile Devices (iOS and Android). Check out the review of the game on our website. Homecoming will be released on all platforms on July 16th, 2026.
