Bloober Team Working on a New Game Based off a Komani IP

After the success of Konami and Bloober Team’s collaboration on the Silent Hill 2 remake, the two have announced they will be working together again on a new title.

Given Bloober Team’s reputation for horror and suspense games, many assume this project will be another Silent Hill entry. However, the developer has only confirmed that it is “working on a new game based on a Konami IP,” leaving room for speculation. While Silent Hill seems like the most obvious choice, there are several other Konami franchises that could be a great fit for the studio.

Since nothing has been officially confirmed, all we can do for now is speculate.

“Our collaboration with KONAMI has been incredibly fruitful, and the success of Silent Hill 2 speaks for itself. By sharing knowledge and experience, we have been able to create a high-quality production together,” said Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno. He continued, “Of course, we can’t reveal too many details at this time, but we are confident that fans will be just as excited about our collaboration as we are. We can’t wait to share something truly special with players when the time is right.”

Initially, many doubted Bloober Team’s ability to successfully remake Silent Hill 2, with even diehard fans fearing the project would be dead on arrival. However, once the game launched and became a massive hit, those concerns quickly disappeared. The success of Silent Hill 2 solidified Bloober Team’s standing in the industry, despite its already impressive catalog, including Observer, Layers of Fear, and The Medium.

While another Silent Hill game seems likely, I can’t help but wonder if the studio might take a shot at another Konami IP—perhaps Snatcher or even Policenauts. That would be unexpected, but it’s not out of the question, especially since the Bloober Team is also working on Cronos: The New Dawn, a survival horror game with action elements.

For now, we’ll just have to wait for more details from the developer.
