BEENOS Inc. has unveiled its “2024 Cross-Border E-Commerce × Anime Hit Rankings,” a data-driven list that highlights the international demand for Japanese anime. The rankings are derived from purchasing data gathered by Buyee (https://buyee.jp/), the cross-border e-commerce support service operated by the BEENOS Group, and focus exclusively on anime titles that have aired on Japanese television.
This year’s report includes two separate rankings:
- A comprehensive ranking of anime titles broadcast in Japan since 1958.
- A ranking of series that debuted their first season in 2024.
Because the rankings are based on AnimeDB’s catalog of televised anime, some titles—though widely recognized as toys, character brands, or tokusatsu (live-action special effects) franchises rather than traditional anime—are also included. These titles serve as valuable indicators of the global popularity of Japan-originated content.
