Not one to be left out of the Summer Gaming Madness, Bandai Namco is hosting its own event, the Bandai Namco Summer Showcase 2025, which takes place on Wednesday, July 2 at 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET on Bandai Namco’s YouTube and Twitch channels. This mid-summer event promises fresh reveals, deep dives into upcoming titles, and possibly a few surprises that haven’t been leaked or revealed.
So, is this going to be worth watching? Well, I definitely think so.
This isn’t just another checklist of trailers and sizzle reels. Bandai Namco is rolling in hot with a mix of new announcements and updates for over a dozen games. So far, we know the spotlight will include info on the following:
- A brand-new My Hero Academia game
- Updates on Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree
- A deeper look at Digimon Story: Time Stranger
- New footage from Little Nightmares III
- Death Note Killer Within
- EVERYBODY’S GOLF Hot Shots
- Remastered chaos with Patapon 1+2 Replay
- Super Robot Wars Y for the giant robot fans (like me)
- A new trailer for Shadow Labyrinth, which is like Pac-Man if he had a goth phase (I still don’t know what to make of this game)
- A teaser for an upcoming Tekken 8 DLC character, Fahkumram
And those are cool and all, but let’s get to what I’m looking forward to during this event.
Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition
Let’s be real, Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition showing up is what’s going to have most of us glued to the screen. And if you request here enough, you know that I’m pretty much Elden Ring’s bitch. So, when it comes to any sort of news about the franchise, I want it now. As for the updated version, we know it’s coming to the Nintendo Switch 2, and it’s packing the base game, Shadow of the Erdtree, new armor, Torrent cosmetics, and even extra starting classes. That’s a lot to squeeze onto a portable console.
But here’s the big question: when? We’re hoping Bandai Namco finally gives us a release date, and also clears up whether the DLC content drops on PS5, Xbox, and PC at the same time, or if Switch 2 players are getting a delayed power trip.
Code Vein II
We got a hands-off peek at Code Vein II during Summer Game Fest 2025 Play Days, and it left us wanting more. And by more, we mean gameplay, combat breakdowns, and story details that go beyond the limited amount of info we received.
The original Code Vein was one of those weird, scrappy Soulslike gems that knew exactly what it was—dark, stylish, and packed with one of the best character creators in any game, period. If the sequel builds on that while tightening up the mechanics, this could easily be one of the biggest RPGs of 2026. So, fingers crossed that we get to find out more about this game.
Duskbloods
While it wasn’t mentioned in the Bandai Namco Showcase announcement, there’s also a chance we’ll hear something about Duskbloods, the mysterious new Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive IP that Bandai Namco teased earlier this year. All we’ve seen so far is a cryptic cinematic trailer and a whole lot of speculation about vampires, curses, and maybe even some roguelike elements. If Bandai wants to drop a gameplay reveal or even a dev diary segment, this would be the perfect time. Honestly, we’re just hoping it’s more Bloodborne and less Vampyr. Oh, and that one character that turns into a Dinosaur, I need more info on that.
So, if you’re curious about any one of these mentioned titles, be sure not to miss the show. And if you do, don’t worry, because we’ll be here to give a rundown of everything that will be showcased.
