Magic: The Gathering Heads to Pelican Town with Secret Lair x Stardew Valley
One of the most requested crossovers is finally becoming a reality. During MagicCon: Amsterdam, Wizards of the Coast officially revealed Secret Lair x Stardew Valley, a three-drop collaboration arriving as part of the Superdrop of the Moonlight Jellies.
The collaboration captures three different sides of Stardew Valley, from building a peaceful life in Pelican Town to venturing into the dangerous mines. Rather than introducing new game mechanics, the collection reimagines existing Magic cards with artwork and themes from the beloved farming simulator, including artwork created by Stardew Valley creator ConcernedApe.
The three Secret Lair drops include:
- Welcome to Stardew Valley – Focuses on life on the farm, friendships, gifts, and everyday life in the valley. It also introduces Stardew Valley, a brand-new Magic land card created specifically for the collaboration.
- Life in Pelican Town – Highlights iconic locations around town, including the Community Center, Pierre’s General Store, the Wizard’s Tower, and the Valley Farmstead.
- A Flicker in the Deep – Shifts the focus underground with monsters, treasure, the Galaxy Sword, and the dangerous adventures waiting in the mines.
Each drop will be available in both Non-Foil ($29.99) and Foil ($39.99) editions while supplies last.
Sales begin July 27 at 9:00 a.m. PT through the Secret Lair storefront.
Players who purchase qualifying bundles can also receive an exclusive foil Lucky Purple Memento, a Stardew Valley-themed version of Puca’s Mischief, while supplies last.
Few crossover announcements have generated as much excitement as this one. Stardew Valley has spent years building one of gaming’s most passionate communities, while Secret Lair continues to lean into collaborations that celebrate pop culture in unique ways. For collectors, Magic players, and longtime farmers who’ve spent countless evenings saying “just one more day,” this may end up being one of Secret Lair’s most popular releases of the year.
