WEBTOON and Discord Continue Partnership with In-App Reading Event

By Josh PiedraDecember 5, 2024

Today, WEBTOON and Discord announced a continuation of their partnership with the launch of an in-app reading event.

WEBTOON

Discord’s rascally blurple swine has somehow landed smack-dab in the middle of School Bus Graveyard. How’d they get there? Does the cast of School Bus Graveyard even notice them? Honestly, traversing multiverses can be stressful, so they want to get home soon — we get ya, Wumpus.

Eligible fans who explore the first ten episodes of one of the biggest WEBTOON Originals series, “School Bus Graveyard,” and find Wumpus twice will receive a one-month trial of Discord Nitro. With Nitro you can Write messages up to 4,000 characters long, perfect for when you’ve got an idea for your own webcomic series that you just need to write down ASAP before it floats away. Just be sure to warn your friend by saying “hey can you hold this” before dropping that four thousand-character message.

The promotion will run from December 4, 2024, to December 25, 2024 and is available for users who have not had an active Discord Nitro membership, redeemed a separate Discord Nitro trial, or accepted a Discord Nitro membership gift in the last 12 months.

The initial partnership saw the launch of the original webcomic miniseries “Wumpus Wonderventures” from Ringo Award-winning studio Merryweather Media, with the four-episode series accumulating 6.3M views.
