Rico Sasaki’s Palette Days Chosen as OP to Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf!

By Josh PiedraNovember 29, 2024

Singer and voice actress Rico Sasaki is set to release her new single, “Palette Days,” on February 26, 2025. This song will also serve as the opening theme for the upcoming TV anime Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf!, which will air in January 2025.

Welcome to Japan

Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf! is a hybrid romantic comedy fantasy, blending slice-of-life slow living with isekai action. Written by Makishima Suzuki, the story follows Kazuhiro Kitase, a young man with the mysterious ability to travel to another world in his dreams, and Mariabelle, an elf girl who arrives in modern Japan after a certain incident. Together, they travel between their respective worlds, enjoying Japan’s scenery and delicious food while battling monsters and conquering dungeons.

“Palette Days,” the opening theme for Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf!, is a heartfelt song that paints a vivid picture of cherished memories, favorite things, and a spectrum of emotions arranged on the palette of one’s heart. It conveys the joy of discovering the unknown and the limitless possibilities of new encounters, themes that are beautifully reflected in the anime.

The single will feature three tracks in total, including the title song “Palette Days” and one song written and composed by Riko Sasaki herself.

The latest trailer of Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf!, released on November 28, features a preview of “Palette Days” audio, so be sure to check it out!
