Nintendo Drops Donkey Kong Country Overview Trailer

Behold the power of the Kongs!

Donkey Kong Country- Tropical Freeze Ending

While it may be the day after a major holiday in places like America, the time to be thankful and nostalgic never goes away. Nintendo is proving that today by curiously dropping a special trailer detailing the Donkey Kong Country franchise. Specifically, the “overview trailer” highlights how there are now five DKC titles on the Switch, meaning you can play the entire series on one console! Or, at least, you will when the DKC Returns HD arrives in January. Either way, the trailer shows just how far the games have come and the many ways it’s changed over the years.

As Stealth fairly notes in his tweet, many hope that Nintendo will take a hint and make a new Donkey Kong title for the upcoming Switch 2 platform. It doesn’t necessarily need to be a Donkey Kong Country title, but given the sales success of the two newer entries by Retro Studios, that wouldn’t be the worst thing ever.

Nintendo released an overview of all the Donkey Kong Country games on Switch.
