Lies of P DLC Coming Q1 2025, Teases Round 8 Studios

When Neowiz’s Round 8 Studios ventured into the action RPG genre with Lies of P, it left me wanting more. Thankfully, regardless of which ending you received, there was a tease of what was to come, hinting at a DLC on the way. However, we didn’t know when it would arrive—until now. That has changed, as EBN, a Korean news outlet, has reported updates from Round 8, including the timing for the first Lies of P DLC.

According to EBN, Round 8 is preparing to release its Lies of P DLC during the first quarter of 2025. While there’s no exact release date yet, knowing the launch window is good enough for me. This shouldn’t come as a shocker as this isn’t the first time we’ve heard about the Lies of P DLC, as Round 8 teased it back in October 2023. There you have it—look forward to more Lies of P in 2025. I know I sure am!

For those unfamiliar, Lies of P is the first action RPG/Soulslike game from Neowiz’s Round 8, a new studio that had never worked on this genre before. Despite being their debut in the space, they delivered one hell of a game—featuring solid gameplay, an intriguing story, and the ability to capture the hearts of fans of the genre, myself included. I reviewed Lies of P and scored it a 4.5/5, and loved the game, though mentioning that some of the bosses were a bit unfair—but beatable.

Once completing the hell of a ride that was Lies of P, you were treated to a post-credits scene where a conversation unfolds about the “Krat experiment.” It’s revealed that Pinocchio’s prosthetic arm, also known as the Legion Arm, might hold the secret to eternal life. Shortly afterward, Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz is mentioned, suggesting that she, too, could be connected to this mystery. The scene concludes with Dorothy, wearing her iconic ruby red shoes, clicking her heels three times before the camera fades to black.

When I saw this, I geeked out—not only because it meant we’d get more Lies of P, but also because the story seemed to be expanding into other fairy tales I grew up reading and watching on TV.

I can’t wait to dive back into the world of Lies of P, it was one of my favorite games of 2023.
