The current fate of certain “superhero universes” are very much up in the air right now. After all, in the course of a few months we had a billion-dollar hit via Marvel, and a flop via DC Comics, but the reverse has happened in recent times as well. DC Comics is pinning all its hopes on James Gunn to make things fresh and fun again, and the start of his connected universe begins with the animated series Creature Commandos.
The series will highlight Rick Flag Sr. as he takes on some of the wilder characters from DC Comics history to save the world. Yeah, it’s going to be nuts. Anyway, at New York Comic Con, you’ll apparently be able to enjoy the “Belle Reve Experience,” which will be happening from the 17th-20th.
