We’re a little over a week away from the premiere of The Penguin on HBO and Max. The series has been in the works for a while as part of Matt Reeves’ Batman universe and highlights the rise of Oswald Cobblepot as he attempts to take over the Gotham underworld after the fall of Carmine Falcone. To those who still wonder why this show is being made at all, a special BTS featurette highlights the people who brought it to life, including Reeves and Colin Farrell, and their desire to show different sides of Gotham, and the people like Penguin who are trying to make a name for themselves.
It’s here we see different elements to the story, including the creation of Penguin’s mother to try and influence him further, and the opponents who will get in his way. Check out the video below, and get ready for The Penguin on September 19th.
