Is The Harley Quinn Animated Series Going To Get More Spinoffs?

Who gets the tap alongside Kite-Man?

Harley Quinn Valentine's Day Special, Harley Quinn Season 4

I’ve had the honor, for lack of a better word, of reviewing the last few seasons of the Harley Quinn animated series for The Outerhaven, and I’m often amazed at how much I enjoy it. This is the show that won’t die, and we fans are grateful for that. Then, a little while ago, its first spinoff came out via Kite-Man. Who could’ve predicted that when the show started years back? Regardless, fans are rightfully wondering if more could come out from the mainline show as we wait for Season 5.

Well, the answer may have come out via showrunner Dean Lorey, who noted to ComicBook.com:

“We love where we’re at right now with what we’ve been calling the ‘Harleyverse. “It’s very exciting to have multiple projects coming out that we’ve been working on. I mean, Kite Man was a major step for us, to be able to bring that out. I know that a lot of people were kind of wondering why we would pick Kite Man as the first character to come out with, because there are a lot of characters. And we talked about many things, but we thought he was sort of a fun, easy person to start with. Plus, he has a giant potential redemption arc for himself. And so we thought we would do that. We have a lot of other ones that we’re really hoping to bring out, things that are pretty deep in development. We really want to build the universe out.”

While he wouldn’t spoil who exactly might get the tap alongside Harley Quinn and Kite-Man, he did say:

“I’m hoping to have some news relatively soon on at least one of them. Believe me, nobody wants to talk about it more than me.”

So, for now, we wait. But if history has shown us anything with the “Harleyverse,” it’s that literally ANYTHING is possible.
