Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO HAS GT Characters

By Scott AdamsSeptember 12, 2024

Today we got a “Great Trailer” from Bandai Namco that was to reveal even more characters in Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO. The term “Great Trailer” was used for the first time in announcing this trailer yesterday, and it indeed was a hint as to what the trailer today was going to showcase. Dragon Ball GT!

The very first thing to note that is going to be sad when the game fully releases is that the song “Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku” will not be included in the game as background music. We got characters from most the arcs in GT. GT Kid Goku, SSJ GT Goku, GT Pan from the Black Star Dragon Ball Arc. Baby Vegeta, Golden Ape Baby, SSJ4 Goku, Uub, Majuub and SSJ3 GT Goku show up for the Baby Arc. We skip the Super 17 arc to go straight into the Shadow Dragons arc with Syn Shenron, Nova Shenron, Eis Shenron, and Omega Shenron. SSJ4 Vegeta shows up, and finally it ends with SSJ4 Gogeta.

There are some characters I am surprised didn’t make the cut from GT. The big one missing is GT Trunks. Odds are that GT Trunks might be a costume variation since the character doesn’t change as drastically as Goku or Vegeta for instance. We also are missing a lot of the other Shadow Dragons. Only three of the seven. Also them skipping the Super 17 arc means we didn’t see GT Android 17, Super 17, GT Android 18, and GT Krillin. Some of these could be costume variations but Super 17 not being here is a bummer.

The best news is that GT will probably have its own story mode in the game if they are a part of the base roster. We might get some fun what if moments!

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO releases October 11th, 2024 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC. Be sure to read our preview of the game.
