Ever since the upcoming Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind Beat ’em Up title was revealed during the 2024 Summer Game Fest, I’ve been waiting to get my hands on the game. And while that has not happened yet (but it will), more Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind news dropped just days ahead of PAX West 2024… The Green Ranger will be a playable character. How damned nice is that?
After the news of the game broke, I spoke to several peers and fans of the Power Rangers who were just as excited as me. Yet, a few of them were bummed as the Green Ranger wasn’t revealed. I’m sure that finding out that this iconic character is now available, will change that frown upside down.
However, the Green Ranger won’t be available at the start, and players will need to complete the game first to unlock him. Once they do, the Green Ranger will be permanently unlocked. With this reveal, I now have to wonder if other Power Rangers characters will also be hidden away in the game.
In case I haven’t mentioned it, I’ll be going hands-on with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind at PAX West 2024, and I can’t wait to talk about the game in more detail.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind is currently available for Wishlisting for Steam and PlayStation, with Xbox Wishlisting to come soon. More information will be made available shortly, as Digital Eclipse is actively developing the highly anticipated game scheduled to launch later this year.
