If the comic book movie world has taught us anything, it’s that you can never truly predict what will be a hit or not. Both DC Comics and Marvel have had films that have done incredibly well at the box office, and several that have failed to live up to expectations. But when the Joaquin Phoenix-led Joker film made over a billion dollars and got Oscar and Golden Globe wins for acting and beyond? That took people aback. And now, Joker: Folie á Deux aims to repeat the process.
While we have precious little information on the movie, Director Todd Phillips has revealed the first poster for it. It features Phoenix’s Joker alongside Lady Gaga, who will be playing this universe’s version of Harley Quinn. As you can see, they’re already “quite close.”

And in the caption, he reveals the first trailer for Joker: Folie á Deux will arrive next week. One can only imagine what it will be like.
