Hunter x Hunter Fighting Game New Details Incoming

By Kevin KellyMarch 9, 2024

The “full-scale” fighting game based on the anime franchise, Hunter X Hunter Nen Impact, will be playable at Evo Japan 2024 as a demo. The game has been confirmed to be a 2D fighter, which seems to confirm the tagging system without explicitly saying it. Eighting is developing this upcoming title.

Eighting has been a part of the 2D fighting game scene with the Marvel vs Capcom 3 titles, and recently, DNF Duel. According to the press release, the game will also be coming to Steam, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. Bushiroad Games will be the publisher.

No additional footage has been provided for Nen Impact after the January and December reveals. In the original announcement, six characters were facing off in an arena. As to how the layout will be, it’s only assumed that it could resemble DBFZ or Marvel at this point, with similar tag mechanics and super triggers in tow. The game seems to be aiming for the competitive scene to bolster the ranks of the tag genre if speculation dictates.
