YouTuber Recreates Super Mario. Bros. Wonder Overworld Theme

It wasn’t that long ago that Nintendo revealed its next 2D Super Mario Bros. title, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, during the June 2023 Nintendo Direct. During this reveal, we got to see a short but interesting trailer, but it wasn’t the trailer that got my attention; it was the music. And it appears I wasn’t the only one as YouTuber “kuribo98” has recreated the music that attended the trailer.

According to “kuribo98”, this creation was based on the Super Mario Bros. Wonder music that was featured in the trailer, but he had to fill in the missing parts of the song. He assumes this is indeed the overworld theme, as there’s an “athletic” theme later in the reveal trailer with the same melody. Which means, it should be following the same pattern as the older Super Mario Bros. games. Of course, he could be wrong, states “kuribo98”.

You can check that out in the video below.

It’s not exactly, well, exact, but it’s close enough to what we’ve heard from the trailer. Needless to say that being able to recreate the music by ear is an amazing ability.

However, that’s not all, as another YouTuber, who goes by the handle “arc,” has extended on “kuribo98” created and has extended it into a nearly 30-minute listen.

All this has done is make me wish that Nintendo would release more music from its upcoming game. The music from the Super Mario Bros. games has been magical, and there hasn’t been one bad soundtrack, ever.

Needless to say, I’m looking forward to hearing the official soundtrack for Super Mario Bros. Wonder when the game gets released.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is the next upcoming 2D side-scrolling Super Mario game since New Super Mario Bros. U. It is scheduled to be released for the Nintendo Switch on October 20, 2023, and I’m looking forward to playing it.
