Mortal Kombat 1 Shows Off Lin Kuei In New Trailer

Mortal Kombat 1 - Official Reveal Trailermp4_snapshot_0109711

It’s clear that things are about to get very interesting in this new world that Liu Kang has created. Mortal Kombat 1 has already highlighted many changes to the main timeline to suit Liu Kang’s new vision for the world he’s trying to protect. But today, we got even more reveals and information via a new story trailer dedicated to the Lin Kuei ninja clan. And not all is as you would expect it to be.

For example, not only do we once again see Scorpion and Sub-Zero as brothers and leading the Lin Kuei in their own ways, but they’re joined this time by Smoke, who was taken in by the clan after they killed his parents. Having Smoke involved is a nice change of pace, seeing while he was in Mortal Kombat 11, but wasn’t a playable character. Then, there’s Rain, who serves as a mage for Outworld and isn’t interested in sharing secrets with Liu Kang’s new order of heroes.

Aside from the story, we get to see the brutality and fatalities that Mortal Kombat 1 will showcase in combat. Yeah, there’s some great stuff here. Plus, we get teases for more Kameo Fighters like Frost, Cyrax, and Sektor!

Check out the trailer below!

Mortal Kombat 1 will be released on September 19 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
