While everyone is waiting for Mortal Kombat 1 to get released, including us, it won’t be long until we get our first look at the gameplay. According to Geoff Keighley, we’ll get our first look at Mortal Kombat 1 in action during the Summer Game Fest, which takes place on June 8, 2023.
During this showcase, we’ll get a look at the new fighting system and hopefully some new game modes well.
In addition to seeing Mortal Kombat 1 in action, there will be over 40 different developers and publishers that will be showing off new games or providing updates to existing ones during the Summer Game Fest. Which means we’ll be seeing more than Netherrealm Studios’ upcoming game in action. We may even see another upcoming fighting title, Tekken 8, in action as well.

Mortal Kombat 1 will be released on September 19, 2023, for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store).
