Project Skylight is the Codename of Airship Syndicate’s Upcoming Title

By Keith MitchellOctober 1, 2022
Project Skylight

In July 2022, Airship Syndicate revealed it was working on will be a 3rd person action game, with new original characters, in a brand new world. Airship Syndicate has recently announced that this game’s codename is “Skylight.” It also happens to be the name of the main city found in the game.

Next week we'll be inviting Content Creators to Austin to play + give feedback on our next adventure: Project Skylight. This is only the beginning of us creating a world, and a game alongside creators and players. Remember, tune into @thegameawards on Dec 8th for our full reveal. pic.twitter.com/EakbBBypkC

Skylight isn’t just the codename of our next adventure… it’s also the name of the main city in the game. Skylight is the last bastion of hope for humanity and a place you’ll call home.

A few days ago, the developer also hosted a Project Skylight event, where they invited a bunch of content creators out to see the game. No, I’m not jealous that we didn’t get an invite, but we’re cool.

So far, I haven’t seen any information from the event, but I’d imagine everyone who attended is under a strict NDA. Which I totally respect.

Lastly, Airship Syndicate alluded to it will be showcasing the reveal of the game during The Game Awards 2022, which will take place on December 8th, 2022.

Personally, I’m hoping we get some gameplay footage, even though the title could be another few years away from being released. The idea of the company working on a 3D action-adventure title excites me. I’ve enjoyed their prior games, Battle Chasers: Nightwar, Darksiders Genesis, and Ruined King. All of these were amazing timesinks, and you should totally play them if you haven’t.

I suppose that’s another reason why I need to catch The Game Awards in December 2022.
