We got a great new game announced from Shade Inc called Samurai Maiden, announced by D3Publisher. For those unaware of who they are, Shade Inc are the same developers behind the Bullet Girl games as well as the Danganronpa games.
If you are an anime fan, you know the popularity of the Isekai genre, and it looks like Samurai Maiden is trying to get in on that action in the best way it knows how. An anime girl with a katana fighting demons in fantasy historical Japan. We get some nice hack-n-slash action with some star-studded Japanese voice-acting cast to boot.
D3publisher is the publisher for the Earth Defense Force series as well as the OneeChanbara series. It looks like they got a solid game going for them with Samurai Maiden with lots of female characters and weapon varieties. Let’s hope the gameplay is as good as it could be.
Samurai Maiden will be released in Winter 2022 on PS4, PS5, and PC.
