SD Gundam Battle Alliance Trial Heads to Consoles Tomorrow in Japan

Update: It looks like there have been some changes regarding the SD Gundam Battle Alliance trial. Originally it was thought that the trial would be a worldwide release. Instead, the dates have been changed, and it will only be released on July 22nd, for Japan and Asia. Following that, the trial will be available worldwide on July 29th, 2022. This is despite the English trailer still showing the demo being released on July 22nd.

Sorry for the mishap, everyone.

A playable trial of SD Gundam Battle Alliance will be made available at midnight on July 29, 2022, for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch in Japan and Asia. Sadly, there isn’t a trial version for the PC. Likely due to Bandai Namco not wanting the game datamined and ruining the experience for everyone.

SD Gundam Battle Alliance Trial announcement

In the trial version, you can play from the start of the game to the end of “DIRECTORY1B True Mission “Tetsukadan.” The trial will also include online multiplayer, however, as the game does not support cross-play but does support cross-gen. The Nintendo Switch trial will not feature online multiplayer. However, the full version once it is released.

All progress from the trial is transferrable to the full version of SD Gundam Battle Alliance as well.

As a massive Gundam fan, I know what I’ll be doing tomorrow. I’ve been looking forward to getting my hands on SD Gundam Alliance, and now I’ll get my chance. Here’s to hoping this demo isn’t too short.

SD Gundam Battle Alliance will be released on August 25, 2022, for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC.
