Bayonetta 3 Heads to the Switch on October 28th

It’s finally happening, folks! We finally have a release date for the early awaited Bayonetta 3 for the Nintendo Switch and all I can say is it’s about damned time.

To say Bayonetta 3 has had a trouble development cycle would be an understatement, as fans had wondered why the game was taking so long. A question that I’m sure Platinum Games was used to, understandably, the company was doing everything in its power to not only get closer to the finish line. but also ensuring that it would be as just good as the prior Bayonetta titles.  It wasn’t that long ago that it was announced that Bayonetta 3 would be released in 2022. Which I’m sure made fans that much happier, as some had questions if the game would even be released this year.

In this third chapter of the Bayonetta series, the unstoppable Umbra Witch must join forces with some familiar faces, the mysterious Viola, and a multitude of other Bayonettas to stop human-made Homunculi from wreaking havoc.

Players will make use of Bayonetta’s wicked weapons and powerful new Demon Masquerade ability to blast, stomp, and slam enemies with exciting over-the-top combos and demonic powers. Prove you’re the baddest witch around by battling an evil that’s bent on plunging humanity into the depths of chaos.

Platinum Games has been working on Bayo 3 for quite some time. Here’s to hoping the wait will have been worth it. To say I’m excited, well, would be an understatement. Similar to Bayonetta 2, the only way to play Bayonetta 3, is on the Nintendo Switch, as it is a console-exclusive title. Heck, even the PC doesn’t have access to Bayonetta 2, as it was published by Nintendo. A company that hasn’t recognized the PC as a viable solution – yet.

In addition to the Bayonetta 3 news, the original Bayonetta game will see a Nintendo Switch release on October 30th, 2022, as a physical release. This will be released on September 30th, 2022, priced at $29.99. This will be the first time that first Bayonetta would make an appearance on Nintendo’s console, despite already being available on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PC.
