The Callisto Protocol Gameplay to be Shown During Summer Game Fest

By Keith MitchellJune 3, 2022
The Callisto Protocol

While we recently got our first look at some of The Callisto Procotol gameplay during the June 2022 State of Play, we haven’t seen anything yet. Recently announced by Geoff Keighley, The Callisto Protocol will have a live demo with the game’s director, Glen Schofield, at the controls, during next week’s Summer Game Fest.

This will be the first time anyone outside the Striking Distance Studio and Game Informer will have seen this game in action. If you’re a fan of surivial horror games or a massive fan of Dead Space, you don’t want to miss out on this.

While we’ve already seen how visceral (pun intended) the game is going to be, that was just a quick look at the game via a trailer. With actual live gameplay, we’re all going to be able to see just how far the game has come.

Not to mention seeing more of the gear, weapons, and abilities that Jacob Lee, the protagonist(?) of the game will have to utilize if he wants to survive the harsh Black Iron Prison. While we got a brief look at several items just the other day, it simply wasn’t enough. We wanted more, and we’re all going to get that, next week.

I’m a huge fan of Dead Space and have been ever since the first game got its hooks into me. Ever since I found out about The Callisto Protocol, I’ve been following and covering the game as much as possible. I simply can’t wait to see what Glen and his team have in store, and thankfully we’ll all be able to sample that once December 2022 arrives. But until then, yes, I’ll take some live gameplay to keep me in suspense.

The Summer Game Fest takes place on June 9th, 2022, at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET, so don’t miss out on two hours of game reveals, updates, and more.

The Callisto Protocol is in development by Striking Distance Studios, and will be heading to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
