Star Ocean: The Divine Force Gets a Release Date

By Scott AdamsJune 29, 2022
Star Ocean Divine Force Trailer

Star Ocean: The Divine Force didn’t seem too special of a game when it got announced in the October State of Play. I am however a fan of the Star Ocean series coming back since most of the older properties of Square Enix just kind of die out unless you are Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest. I am still excited to give it a try when it comes out! Luckily we got news today that it has a release date thanks to a new trailer done by Square Enix.

That is right Star Ocean: The Divine Force is releasing on October 27th of this year. Actually, it is lucky to be a few months out since Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Digimon Survive are releasing next month. It won’t have to compete with Xenoblade.

Alongside the trailer Square Enix released a more in-depth trailer explaining the characters and combat of the game itself.

We will get the option of choosing to play as Raymond in the game or as Laeticia. The story will give a different perspective depending on which character you choose as your main one. Combat is Real-Time Action and has an AP gauge for the actions you are allowed to do in battle. This new trailer looks a lot more polished than its announcement trailer. I am excited to try this game out once it comes out!

Star Ocean: The Divine Force will be released on PlayStation Consoles, Xbox Consoles, and PC on October 27th, 2022.
