Aliens Dark Descent Announced for consoles and PC

By Keith MitchellJune 9, 2022
Aliens Dark Descent

The Summer Game Fest has only just started, and right out of the gate, we got word that a new Aliens game is in development. Aliens Dark Descent is an upcoming title for console and PC that will take place in the Aliens universe and tell a new story.

There’s not much we can tell about the game just yet, other than Aliens, the colonial marines, and lots of guns. Though, even then, we’ve been burnt in the past with some pretty bad and so-so games based on this franchise. So only time will tell. Still, I’m excited.

While we only saw a short glimpse of gameplay, this looks to be a top-down isometric game. What we don’t know is if this is a tactical game or if this will be a coop free-for-all title.

It is worth meaning that we heard at least one familiar name being called during the reveal. So perhaps we’ll see some familiar faces during the game as well.

Aliens Dark Descent is planned for a 2023 release for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

This story is developing…
