WB Games to Host the Multiversus Open Beta in July 2022

By Keith MitchellMay 31, 2022
Multiversus, Wonder Woman

While we recently had a chance to play WB Games’ Multiversus closed alpha, that’s now over, and we want more. Thankfully, WB Games has revealed that it plans on giving players another chance to check out the game ahead of its official release. In July 2022, WB Games will host the Multiversus open beta, meaning more people will be able to check it out.

WB Games has hinted that more characters will be playable, such as the Iron Giant, which wasn’t available in the recent alpha. Next, I suppose.

As for what we played with Muliversus’s closed alpha, I have to say I enjoyed it. While I’m not big on platform fighters, and I have stayed far away from the Super Smash Bros. series, with Multiversus, it all just clicked. I don’t know if it was because I was able to play with some of my favorite characters from DC Comics or either WB properties, the fantastic stable netcode, the tight controls, or the polished presentation. All of which is something that Nintendo’s platformer fighter should take note of.

I honestly can’t believe that despite how much I’ve stayed away from this sort of game, I enjoyed what I played with Multiversus. I suppose that tells you just how much work the team behind this time has put in. Needless to state, I can’t wait to get my hands on the title again during the open beta.

The upcoming Multiversus open beta will be available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
