Elden Ring Guide: Where to Use Sellen’s Primal Glintstone

By Keith MitchellFebruary 28, 2022
Elden Ring - Where to use sellen primal glintstone location6

During Elden Ring’s Sellen the Sorceress’s chain quest, you’ll eventually be given Sellen’s Primal Glintstone. This Glintstone contains her essence, so it makes sense that you’re looking for a body, a replacement for her.

So, where do you need to head off to? It turns out the answer was yet again in front of our faces. That is if you’ve already done the questline for Ranni. With her actual body being trapped under Witchbane Ruins, this isn’t where you need to go.

Where to Use Sellen’s Primal Glintstone

You’ll need to head over to where the Three Sister Towers are, up near Carion Manor.

Once there, head over to Ranni’s Tower. Outside of the tower are some ruins. It would make sense that these ruins could be the answer, as everything about Sellen thus far was found in ruins.

At this location, you’ll find a lone undead. It’s the only undead in the entire area. I figured that meant something, so I started hitting things and eventually started hitting the floor — lo and behold, a secret door appeared.

Inside are some things, and another illusionary door. Strike the wall in this location and continue on.

Eventually, you’ll see a body that looks exactly like Sellen’s. This was like a puppet that Selivus was working on. But he’s dead now, so it’s of no use to him.

Once you approach the body, you’ll be able to activate it with Sellen’s Primal Glintstone. Afterward, Sellen will thank you and tell you her future plans.

Now that you found her, she’ll also start providing spells for you to purchase again. Take this time to purchase any spells you need as she’ll be gone when you return. She also won’t relocate to the Waypoint Ruins Cellar location. I’m still looking for where she went.

However, it seems it doesn’t end here. It turns out that Sellen isn’t who we thought she was. If you head back to Witchbane Ruins, to where her original body was, we’ll see a familiar person.

The person who you met during the Festival, right before you took on Radahn, Executioner Jerren. There, he’ll ask if you knew Sellen.

He’ll continue to tell you that she was an evil mage, known as the Graven Witch. She was obsessed by the primeval current and had killed countless other sorcerers. That she was the most dangerous mage in the entire history of Raya Lucaria’s Academy. And we just helped her get a new lease on life. Oops.

There you go! Another Elden Ring mystery solved! Only a hundred more to go.

Elden Ring is currently available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
