PlayStation adds new colors to the DualSense controller line-up, official PS5 faceplates revealed

Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, and Galactic Purple DualSense controllers

Say hello to the newest PlayStation 5 DualSense controller colors; Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, and Galactic Purple.

The three new DualSense colors will be available starting on January 14, 2022, directly from PlayStation and will join the pre-existing Midnight Black and Cosmic Red DualSense controllers. PlayStation is calling their colored DualSense line-up the “Galaxy Collection.” All three of the new colored DualSense controllers are available for pre-order now over at direct.playstation.com, priced at $74.99 each.

Now, I don’t know about you, but that Galactic Purple is calling my name. But being the controller collector that I am, I’ll most likely pick them all up. Get ready, wallet.

The newly announced console covers for the disc and digital PS5 (I’m still calling them faceplates) will be released in five colors. The same colors as the DualSense Galaxy line-up; Midnight Black, Cosmic Red, Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, and Galactic Purple. The Midnight Black and Cosmic Red PS5 console covers will become available in January 2022. The Nova Pink, Galactic Purple, and Starlight Blue PS5 console covers will follow sometime later in the first half of 2022, priced at $54.99.

There’s a link for more information, however, at the time of this article, the link returns a 404 error.

With PlayStation officially selling the case covers, you’ll likely see other companies currently selling them to pull them from the market. Unless they want to deal with PlayStation’s lawyers, like several other companies, have already done.
