Monster Hunter Rise PC’s Magnamalo looks so good in 4K

The release date for Monster Hunter Rise PC, the follow-up to Monster Hunter World and once Nintendo Switch exclusive title, is approaching.

Of course, if you’re someone who enjoys gaming on the PC and have been waiting for this, I don’t have to tell you. For the past few weeks, the Monster Hunter Youtube channel has been releasing short videos that showcase several monsters from the game — in 4K. We’ve already seen the Zinogre, Tigrex, and Rathalos. Now, they have released another video that provides a look at the Magnamalo, also in 4K.

Check it out below, but be sure to watch it in 4K, if you can.

Here are the other videos if you happened to miss them prior to the Magnamalo.

The PC release of Monster Hunter Rise will include all the quests and DLC that are currently available for the Nintendo Switch. Of course, the PC version comes sporting several enhancements, including up to 4K visuals, HDR support, an unlocked frame rate. And get this, it will include ultrawide monster support — needless to say, it is checking all the boxes for a (hopefully) promising PC port. That said, I still remember when Monster Hunter World first landed on the PC. Sure, it took a while, but Capcom finally got things sorted.

Unlike Monster Hunter World, the PC and Switch will receive the same updates and will be on the same progression path. However, PC won’t include cross-save or cross-play with the Nintendo Switch version, or vice versa. Both platforms will receive the upcoming expansion, Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak, in Summer 2022.

Monster Hunter Rise releases on January 12, 2022, for the PC.
