MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM BATTLE OPERATION Code Fairy Announced for PS4 and PS5

By Kyle SimcoxOctober 19, 2021

Releasing on November 5th, MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM BATTLE OPERATION Code Fairy is a new single-player Gundam game for PlayStation 4 and 5. Developed by B.B. Bandai boasts an original story with dynamic mecha action and shares a strong connection with MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM BATTLE OPERATION 2, its 6v6 PvP predecessor.

Not much is revealed on the game’s official page, but you can check out the launch trailer below.

The trailer showcases the game’s slick anime visual some interesting mechanics like customizing your mobile suits, pilot skills, and voice chat commands. If you play Battle Operation 2, you’ll also be able to link your saves and unlock new suits in the game as you progress through Code Fairy. Special tasks can also be unlocked for Code Fairy via Battle Operation 2.

Another thing worth noting is that the story of Code Fairy is split into three volumes. Volume 1 will release on November 5th, the second on November 19th, and the third and final volume will be released on December 3rd. The story will explore the “Noisy Fairy” – a secret unit led by Alma and under the direct control of Kycilia of the Principality of Zeon. During the “One Year War,” the crew struggles to break into the North American continent.

Interestingly, Bandai Namco would go this route, and only time will tell if this game is accepted or not. I’m all for more Gundam; I don’t care who’s at the helm.

I just really enjoy video games and talking about them. Also a big fan of everything else nerd culture as well. Well, almost everything.
