PC Requirements Revealed For Deathloop

By Ryan EasbySeptember 8, 2021

We are now less than a week away from Arkane Studio’s long-awaited time-loop game, Deathloop. People are becoming extremely excited (at least, I know I am for sure, I cannot wait). But a lot of people have been wondering about how Deathloop will perform on PC and the requirements for the game. Well, good news for those people, Arkane has finally revealed the Deathloop PC specs for the game!

Arkane Studio's Deathloop

For once, I’m completely surprised as the specs very well could surpass what many have equipped in their current gaming rigs.

Sure, the minimum specs are tame, and most will be able to play Deathloop with little to no issue. It’s the recommended specs that caught my eye; look at the CPU and GPU requirements. That’s easily better than most people have in the machines currently. And thanks to the silicone situation and the scalpers who’ve flooded places such as eBay with super high-priced parts, people haven’t been able to upgrade. I’m sure this will be the first PC title in 2021 that will have people upset they weren’t able to upgrade.

It gets worse at 4K, but let’s be honest, the 4K entry is always high, but damn this is really high. The biggest shock here, however, is that DirectX 12 is the only graphics API show. I sure hope there’s a fallback to DirectX 11, or there’s bound to be issues when the game is eventually released. DirectX 12 is faster than DirectX 11; however, DirectX 11 is more stable, or at least that’s how it’s been for the past few years.

So, without further ado, here are the specs for Deathloop.

DEATHLOOP MINIMUM SPECS: 1080P / 30 FPS WITH LOW SETTINGS

OS : 64 bit Windows 10 version 1909 or higher
Processor : Intel Core i5-8400 @ 2.80GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 1600
Memory : 12 GB
Graphics : Nvidia GTX 1060 (6GB) or AMD Radeon RX 580 (8GB)
DirectX : Version 12
Storage : 30 GB available space (HDD)

DEATHLOOP RECOMMENDED SPECS: 1080P / 60 FPS WITH HIGH SETTINGS

OS : 64 bit Windows 10 version 1909 or higher
Processor : Intel Core i7-9700K @ 3.60GHz or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
Memory : 16 GB
Graphics : Nvidia RTX 2060 (6GB) or AMD Radeon RX 5700 (8GB)
DirectX : Version 12
Storage : 30 GB available space (SSD)

ULTRA 4K SPECS: 4K / 60 FPS WITH ULTRA SETTINGS

OS: 64 bit Windows 10 version 1909 or higher
Processor : Intel Core i9-10900K @ 3.70GHz or AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT
Memory : 16 GB system RAM
Graphics : Nvidia RTX 3080 (10GB) or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT (16GB)
DirectX : Version 12
Storage : 30 GB available space (SSD)

Not only were the requirements released, but Bethesda was also kind enough to provide an extensive list of settings that will be available in the game.

VISUALS – STANDARD SETTINGS

  • Field of View (65 to 110 degrees)
  • Ultrawide support (YES!!!!!!)
  • AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution support (No sign of DLSS, but FSR is a worthwhile replacement)

VISUALS – ADVANCED SETTINGS

  • Texture Details
  • Model Details
  • Shadow Details
  • Water Details
  • Terrain Details
  • Decal Details
  • Ambient Occlusion
  • Sun Shadows
  • Post-Process Anti-Aliasing
  • TWAA Sharpness
  • Sharpness Post Process
  • Camera Motion Blur
  • Bloom (yes/no)
  • Depth of Field (yes/no)
  • Lens Flare (yes/no)
  • Light Shafts (yes/no)

GAMEPLAY OPTIONS

  • Headbob (0 to 100)

LANGUAGE & SUBTITLES

  • Possibility to mix languages between VO and Text Language/Subtitles (for instance, English voices with French subtitles)
  • Subtitles Size (small/medium/large)
  • Display Subtitles (none/main dialogue/all dialogue)

Again, that’s an extensive list of options, and I’m thrilled that ultrawide screen support is in. I’ll be looking forward to playing Deathloop in that format alone. Well, outside of recording footage for our YouTube channel and live streaming the game.

Deathloop releases on PC (Steam) on September 14th, 2021, and pre-loads will begin as of September 13th, 2021.
